Septem - Erster Tag / first day

 

Ps 104,2; Jes 45,7; 2Kor 4,6

 

Die Erde aber war wüst und leer, und es lag Finsternis auf der Tiefe; und der Geist Gottes schwebte über den Wassern.

 

Und Gott sprach: Es werde Licht! Und es wurde Licht. Und Gott sah, daß das Licht gut war; da schied Gott das Licht von der Finsternis.

 

Und Gott nannte das Licht Tag, und die Finsternis nannte er Nacht. Und es wurde Abend, und es wurde Morgen: der erste Tag.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep. God's Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.

 

God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. God saw the light, and saw that it was good. God divided the light from the darkness.

 

God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." There was evening and there was morning, one day.
